Sacred Heart (9-2) advanced with a regional win over Tomball Rosehill Christian.
St. Paul (4-8) beat Beaumont Legacy Christian.
The Lavaca County and District 5 rivals played earlier this month in Shiner and Sacred Heart won 28-7 to end a five-game losing streak against St. Paul.
The teams met in the 2012 semifinals with St. Paul winning 49-35 and going on to win the state title.
St. Paul last advanced to the state final in 2016 and won the state title.
Sacred Heart last advanced to the state final in 2011 and defeated St. Paul 21-7 to win the state title.
Sacred Heart’s Sam Brown passed for 249 yards and four touchdowns in the win over Rosehill Christian.
St. Paul’s Joseph Natal has rushed for 1,493 yards and 22 touchdowns.
The winner advances to the state final against the winner of Saturday’s game between Fort Worth Lake Country and Dallas Baptist.
