NOTES: Defending state champion St. Paul (9-0) and Brazos Christian (8-2) met in last year's semifinals. St. Paul won that game 41-38.

Last week, St. Paul had a first-round bye. Brazos Christian defeated Beaumont Legacy Christian in the area round.

St. Paul has played one game since Oct. 27, a 43-0 win over San Marcos Academy on Nov. 10.

St. Paul's Conor Kresta has rushed for 1,450 yards and 23 touchdowns, and River Haynes has intercepted eight passes.

The winner advances to the semifinals against the winner of Saturday's Hallettsville Sacred Heart-The Woodlands Legacy Prep game.
