Cards rematch with SH; Shiner plays Refugio
Shiner and St. Paul play their next round of playoff games this week.
The Shiner St. Paul Cardinals have a rematch with Sacred Heart with a trip to the state championship game on the line Saturday ( December 1, 2018 ) in Columbus. The Shiner Comanches face old district foe Refugio on Friday ( November 30, 2018 ) at 7:30 p.m. at Dub Farris Stadium in San Antonio in the 2A-DI regional game.

The Indians won the regular-season game 28-7 en route to capturing the district title.
Cardinals head coach Jake Wachsmuth said there are things St. Paul can do differently and execute better on others.
“Our kids like the fact they get another shot at Sacred Heart,” Wachsmuth said. “You just hope you can learn from your mistakes."
To refresh Cardinal fans’ minds, Sacred Heart runs the spread in one or two-back formations.
They line up in eight or four-man fronts on defense.
