Austin Saints quarterback George Breckwoldt threw for 199 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for one touchdown as the Saints defeated Shiner St. Paul 31-7 ( last Friday, September 14, 2018 ).

Saints led 6-0 in the first frame on a 29-yard pass from Breckwoldt to Michael Thomas. Saints scored 19 points in the second quarter: Breckwoldt had a 35-yard pass to Patrick Wilson, Timothy Bridgeman had a 3- yard run and Breckwoldt scored on a 45-yard run.

Saints led 31-0 in the third on a 15-yard reception by Jake Callahan. The Cardinals put up some points in the fourth quarter with an 8-yard pass from Dalton Jahn to Cole Brown.

Defensively for the Cardinals, Jared Pesek had one tackle; Gerard Nunez had one tackle, one assist; Kellen Opela had three tackles, one assist; Noah Boedeker had three tackles, one forced fumble; Atley Pilat recovered one fumble; Zak Johnson had four tackles.
