Shiner St. Paul vs Austin Texas School for the Deaf

  Friday (November 20, 2015), 7:30 p.m. Buffalo Stadium, Giddings

Shiner St. Paul has its second matchup of the season with district opponent Austin Texas
School for the Deaf as they meetup in the second round at Giddings' Buffalo Stadium.

"Austin TSD has some talent and are playing with lots of condfidence right now," Cardinals
head coach Jake Wachsmuth said. "The first time we played, we won by a large margin.
This time we are expecting a tougher game."

TSD with several wins in a row has confidence and has talent but has yet to play at
the highest level they are capable of.

The Rangers are very multiple on offense with three-back, double-tight and spread
formations but generally like to pound the ball on the ground.

Quarterback Austin Sliva-Wynne is a very tough runner for TSD.

"Our defense will need to contain him," Wachsmuth said. "We have to tackle well and
get all 11 defensive players to the ball."

The Rangers' defense has trouble stopping opposing offenses and the St. Paul offense
has the tendency to score quickly.

"We need to have some sustained drives and control the tempo, and we cannot have turnovers.
We had a few last week and need to protect the ball completely," Wachsmuth said.
